Unlocking Organizational Value Through Leadership
For more than two decades, in many ways, in many forums, with thousands of leaders, I’ve taught that organizational results are limitless.
Those leaders who don’t understand this don’t understand the soul of leadership. When I say “soul”, I don’t mean it in a religious sense, but in a human sense, and not as a static entity but as a fundamental process that manifests the value inherent in all organizations. However, there is another soul at work here. It is the leadership soul of the individual leader. Again, I am not using the word in a religious sense but in a human sense, and as a fundamental process that manifests the human value inherent in each individual leader.
The leadership soul of the leader is that inner strength and commitment an individual draws on in order to carry out the activities of the soul of leadership.
Mind you, I am not counting angels on the head of a pin. The difference between the soul of leadership and the leadership soul of the individual leader is not a philosophical fine distinction. The difference may not be readily apparent, but it is manifest, and it is decisive. It’s a difference most leaders and their organizations are not aware of — to their detriment.

Candy Making in 1936
While flipping through an old Cookbook of my mothers, I found it interesting to view the PYRAMIDA WH 20-60 terms used in the candy recipes in the book.
Instructions like ‘Just before removing from fire’, ‘put marshmallows on the end of a hatpin’, ‘let dry on paraffin paper’, and ‘turn into a towel that has been wrung dry in cold water’ made me think how technology has changed our lives in all areas, even candy making.
I guess one change is that few make their own candy anymore. It is too easy to pick up anything you need at a candy store located in the many malls today, or at the local grocery. And with our fast paced world we don’t really have the time that it takes to make candy.

Eco-Warrior and Eco-Terrorist; What is the Difference?

What made you mad last week?
In the past week, how many times were you upset by something? What action did you take? Look back on your history of lost clients. Was it because they complained or did they just slip quietly away. The Unity of Alcoholics Anonymous
Throughout my journey of recovery in Alcoholics Anonymous, miracles have come to me in abundance. The promises have astoundingly materialized in every element of my daily life and the rewards of sobriety are beyond what my imagination could have ever visualized or dreamed of. I was miraculously given a chance in my life to live with a genuine passion for my career, my family, my friends, and humanity as a whole. Recovery has provided me the opportunity to discover my true self, which was hidden by alcoholism, and bask in the bliss and enlightenment of each present moment that I am given.
